School Time

Well the summer is almost over and Jake is getting ready to start 1st grade. A little sad for us but I think that Jake is excited. Had him all to myself for a few hours on Friday, went to get registered for school, got a snack and a haircut. Can't believe how big he has gotten. He had a doctor's appointment late Friday afternoon and they say he is almost 4 feet tall and 55lbs. He is ready for school, excited that he gets to eat lunch at school. love to all

growing up!!

Well Jake has officially passed kindergarten and will be off to 1st grade in the Fall. We can't believe how much he has learned this year. He still loves to play outside and loves his baby sister. Can't believe how well they get along. He has learned how to write, spell, add/subtract, count by 5's and 10's. He loved school and cried on his last day when I picked him up. He has grown up so much and as a parent I guess it is hard for me to accept that he is no longer my baby boy.... He has also finished soccer and hasn't decided if he wants to do it again. I have enjoyed watching him grow and mature into the little man that he is. Can't wait to see how he grows again in the coming year.

decorating for christmas

Long time since our last post but things have been hoppin around here. Meaning we've all been pretty busy. Jake is learning a lot of new things at school, he proved to me that he could count to 100 all by himself. Very impressive!! He has a lot of songs that he loves to sing for us and Mia is starting to pick up on things that he does. He had a great Thanksgiving Break, he got to see his Mammaw and Pappaw: boy did he have a blast with them. He was sad to see them go, but he also understands that he stills gets to see them almost every week. He looks forward to the days when we video-conference with them. Tonight he helped get out the Christmas decorations and put the tree together. Jake and Mia decorated the tree and did a terrific job of it. Needless to say after the kids went to bed, I did a little decorating without them. Love to all

good times

Jake has grown so much within the last month. He is totally enjoying school and soccer. We had another win this weekend. Jake is playing very well and loves going to soccer. He loves going to school and when I pick him up, he is so excited to tell me about his day. I love that little bit of time we get together, just the 2 of us. Other that that, nothing else to report. I will leave you with some new pictures from the last few weeks. love to all

1st day of school and soccer

So today started out different for all involved. Jake is officially in kindergarten and soccer. He had school this afternoon and soccer this evening. Busy day for me, so glad I took the day off work. Yesterday we spent most of the day at Indiana Beach, sorry no pics but I didn't have my camera. Jake rode on 2 of the big roller coasters. We are so proud that we have a little roller coaster buddy. Time to get Jake into the shower and ready for bed. love to you all

total fun

not much going on with Jake, but he is going to register for soccer this weekend. I must say that he is doing great a Joyce's and gets a sticker everyday. Mainly for not hitting himself when he gets upset. All this week, Jake and Daddie have been outside practicing with the soccer ball and teaching Jake the basics of what he will need to know in order to play. He is doing great and I enjoy hearing the boys playing outside together. Jake usually comes inside all hot and sweaty so he gets snack, shower and then bed. We have been very proud of him this week, not fighting at bedtime and usually getting up by himself in the morning. We are hoping that he will be happy and do good at soccer. Not many pics of Jake but here are what I have.
